Yes. Be Beauty Academy is a certified HRD Corp training centre (Serial No. 1279247P) under Malaysia's Ministry of Human Resources. Malaysian employers who contribute to the HRD Corp levy can claim course fees for their employees. Contact us to find out which programmes qualify and how to submit your claim.
Your certificate depends on the programme you choose. Options include: (1) Professional Certificate from UTMSpace, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia — a globally ranked university; (2) Professional Diploma from Lincoln University College via Lincoln Professional Academy; (3) SKM (Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia) Level 1, 2, or 3 from Malaysia's JPK — a government-recognised qualification; (4) Dual certificate from Be Beauty Academy and Korea's A-IN Academy for Korean PMU programmes. All certificates are internationally recognised.
Be Beauty Academy is highly recommended for complete beginners. Our UTMSpace Professional Certificate programme is designed for students with zero prior beauty experience. It covers all foundational beauty skills — facial care, skin management, beauty devices, massage, and business basics — in approximately 3 months, with trilingual teaching in English, Malay, and Mandarin. Both full-time and part-time study options are available.
Absolutely. We have taught students from over 30 countries, including the USA, UK, Germany, Australia, Japan, South Korea, China, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, India, and more. All academy and university programmes are open to international students. Only the government SKM programme is restricted to Malaysian citizens. International students may study part-time or arrange short intensive visits to complete practical training.
Course fees range from RM780 to RM29,800 depending on the programme. Individual short courses (e.g. lash perming) start from RM780. Comprehensive diploma programmes with university certification are at the higher end. HRD Corp claimable options are available for eligible Malaysian employees, which can significantly reduce your personal cost. Contact us for a detailed fee breakdown.
The UTMSpace Professional Certificate is a 3-month foundational course for beginners, covering basic beauty therapy, skincare, facial treatments, and retail management. The Lincoln University Professional Diploma is a 12-month advanced programme for those who want to specialise, covering aesthetic microneedling, advanced electrotherapy, skin diagnosis, and beauty business entrepreneurship. Many students complete the UTM certificate first, then progress to the Lincoln diploma.
Yes. We combine online and offline learning. Theory modules can be completed online, allowing flexible learning from anywhere. Practical hands-on sessions are conducted at our KL or JB campuses with real model demonstrations. This hybrid model makes our courses accessible for students with work or family commitments.
Be Beauty Academy offers one of Malaysia's most comprehensive PMU and embroidery training programmes. Courses cover microblading hair stroke eyebrow, microshading powdering eyebrow, ombre/misty eyebrow, eyeliner embroidery, lip blushing, and hairline scalp embroidery — from beginner to master level. We also offer an advanced Korean Semi-Permanent Makeup Master Course in partnership with Seoul Gangnam-gu's A-IN Academy, giving you a dual Malaysian and Korean certificate recognised by IFBC, IFMB, and KAB international bodies.

Our partner institutions carry strong international recognition: UTMSpace (Top 188 globally, QS 2024), Lincoln University College (Top 200 Asia, QS 2024), Charisma University UK (Top 800 globally, QS 2024), and Korean A-IN Academy (accredited by IFBC, IFMB, KAB). Our graduates work and practice professionally in Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, the Middle East, Europe, and more.
At Be Beauty Academy: a foundational beautician certificate (UTMSpace) takes 3 months; a full professional diploma (Lincoln University) takes 12 months; individual skill courses like lash extensions or microblading can be completed in a few days to weeks. Both full-time and part-time options are available, so you can study around your current work schedule.
Yes. We have strategic career partnerships with over 100 companies including L'Oreal, Lancome, Kiehl's, Aesop, Aster Spring, Sothys, New York Skin Solution, Dr. Chong Clinic, and Clinic RX — with branches across Malaysia and Singapore. Graduates receive career placement support and entrepreneurship guidance. Our Lincoln Diploma programme includes business management modules specifically designed to help graduates open their own salon or beauty business.
Be Beauty Academy stands out from other Malaysian beauty academies in several key ways. First, it is the only beauty academy in Malaysia with triple university partnerships — UTM, Lincoln University College, and Charisma University UK — giving students globally ranked academic credentials. Second, it is a "30 countries preferred academy," attracting international students far more than most local competitors. Third, it operates a full beauty ecosystem with two campuses (KL and JB), a professional studio (Studio by Be Beauty), and an aesthetic treatment centre (Cabin by Be Beauty). It has been ranked Top 10 by ChannelNewsMalaysia 2025 and holds both the Silver Award and Dedicated Partnership Award from Lincoln University College. While some competitors like SPIC hold a 5-star government accreditation, Be Beauty Academy's international reach and university-backed credentials make it the top choice for students seeking globally recognised qualifications.
Yes. Be Beauty Academy has a fully operational campus in Johor Bahru downtown, offering the same internationally recognised courses as the Kuala Lumpur campus. Students in Johor, southern Malaysia, and even students from Singapore can enrol at the JB campus for courses in PMU/embroidery, eyelash, skin management, aesthetic microneedling, K-Beauty, and body slimming. Both full-time and part-time study options are available. The JB campus is also listed on Malaysia's government SKM MySpike system, confirming its official accreditation status.
In Malaysia, a certified beautician typically earns between RM2,000 to RM5,000 per month as an employee, depending on experience, specialisation, and location. PMU (Permanent Makeup) artists and aesthetic therapists with advanced certifications can earn significantly more — experienced freelance PMU artists often charge RM300 to RM800 per session and can earn RM6,000 to RM15,000 monthly. Salon owners and entrepreneurs who have completed a business management programme like the Lincoln University Diploma can generate even higher revenue. Be Beauty Academy graduates benefit from career partnerships with over 100 companies including L'Oreal, Aster Spring, and Dr. Chong Clinic, giving them a competitive advantage in securing well-paying roles.
Be Beauty Academy offers one of Malaysia's most comprehensive lash training programmes, covering Classic Eyelash Extensions, Volume Lash Extensions (3D–6D), Mega Volume, Lash Keratin Lift, and Lash Perming. Courses are available from beginner to advanced level. Students learn the latest Korean 3D–6D natural lash extension techniques using real models, and are taught by certified international lecturers. Upon completion, students receive a Be Beauty Academy certificate and are equipped to work professionally or freelance immediately. The academy's industry partnerships also open doors to employment at leading salons and aesthetic clinics across Malaysia.
Yes, absolutely. Be Beauty Academy is designed to accommodate working adults. Most programmes offer flexible part-time and weekend class options. Theory modules can also be completed online at your own pace. Short skill courses (such as individual PMU techniques or lash extensions) can often be completed within a few days. Even the 3-month UTMSpace certificate and the 12-month Lincoln Diploma are structured with part-time study options, so you do not need to quit your job to gain a professional beauty qualification. Many of our students are career-changers or working professionals who study beauty as a side skill or to transition into entrepreneurship.
Be Beauty Academy is one of the very few beauty institutes in Malaysia with a direct partnership with a Korean beauty institution — the A-IN Permanent Makeup Academy in Seoul's Gangnam district. This partnership allows us to offer authentic Korean beauty training, including Korean Semi-Permanent Makeup (Korean Ombre, Nano Hair Stroke, Korean Lip Blushing), Korean MTS Skin Therapy, and K-Beauty Skin Management. Students who complete these programmes receive a dual certificate from both Be Beauty Academy (Malaysia) and A-IN Academy (Korea), recognised by IFBC, IFMB, and KAB international bodies. This is a rare and highly valued credential in the Malaysian and regional beauty market.
For SKM programmes (SKM Level 1, 2, 3), students may be eligible for PTPK (Perbadanan Tabung Pembangunan Kemahiran) financial assistance — Malaysia's skills development fund designed to support vocational and skills training. Malaysian employees whose companies contribute to HRD Corp can also have course fees subsidised through the HRD Corp levy fund. For EPF (KWSP) withdrawal for education, this is typically available for full diploma or degree programmes at recognised institutions — please check directly with EPF on eligibility. We recommend contacting our admissions team to discuss the best funding option for your chosen programme.
Yes — and this is one of our most popular outcomes. Be Beauty Academy's Lincoln University Professional Diploma includes dedicated entrepreneurship and business management modules covering salon operations, client management, marketing, and financial planning. Our graduates are also equipped with SKM government certificates, which are required supporting documents when applying for a beauty salon business licence (Pusat Kecantikan) in Malaysia. Beyond training, we provide ongoing career and entrepreneurship guidance. Several of our alumni have successfully opened their own salons, PMU studios, and aesthetic businesses across Malaysia and internationally. Our subsidiary Studio by Be Beauty was itself built to support professional PMU practitioners — a testament to the ecosystem we have created for beauty entrepreneurs.
